Bettear CASTER

Bettear's B-CASTER Auracast™ streamer is a groundbreaking innovation in audio streaming technology. It significantly enhances the auditory experience for individuals with hearing impairments by seamlessly integrating with Auracast™-compatible hearing devices. This integration ensures high-quality audio streaming with low-latency across a wide range of hearing devices, including hearing-aids, cochlear implants, and various other hearables.

The B-CASTER can operate in ‘Standalone Mode,’ smoothly  broadcasting audio to Auracast™ compatible devices within its range, or it can operate in Auracast™ and Wi-Fi ‘Hybrid Mode.’

In Hybrid mode the B-CASTER and the B-SHOW function as a combined system, making any venue fully accessible for everyone – both those equipped with Auracast™ compatible hearing devices and those without.

FAQ

What is an Auracast™ streamer and how does it help with assistive listening?

An Auracast streamer is a device that uses Bluetooth LE Audio technology to broadcast audio signals to multiple receivers. This allows people with hearing difficulties to directly connect their hearing aids, cochlear implants or compatible earphones to the streamer, providing clearer audio in various environments (like theaters, lecture halls, or noisy restaurants).

How do I connect my hearing aids/cochlear implant/earphones to an Auracast™ streamer?

Most modern hearing aid, cochlear implants and earphones that support Bluetooth LE Audio should be able to connect to an Auracast streamer automatically. Provided that your hearind device is paired with your smartphone, it is recommended to use the Bettear App or any other Assistant App to seamlessly connect to the desired stream.

Do I need a smartphone to use an Auracast™ streamer?

Auracast™ enabled hearing devices may or may not support automatic connection to Auracast™ streamers without using an external assistive app, depending on each manufacturer’s settings.
It’s highly recommended to use an Assistant app, especially in scenarios where you may be in a dense environment with multiple Auracast™ streams broadcasting. Using an Assistant app ensures the connectivity to the desired stream.
