TRABERT® Meine Hörwelt, Würzburg

TRABERT® Meine Hörwelt built an Auracast™ demonstration and training space at its Würzburg hearing care center with Bettear CASTER, so customers hear audio streamed straight to their hearing aids and cochlear implants, with no pairing.

The challenge

Streaming to hearing aids and cochlear implants meant a different connection for every manufacturer.
TRABERT® Meine Hörwelt has supported people with hearing loss for decades, from hearing aids to cochlear implants. Connecting those devices to phones, TVs and other sources usually depended on brand-specific accessories, separate adapters and extra hardware.
Classic Bluetooth® links one device to one listener, which does not work for shared or public listening. For the team, this meant more complexity in daily audiological work and in explaining options to customers, and it was hard to demonstrate modern streaming across different brands and devices.
The solution

TRABERT® installed a Bettear CASTER at its Würzburg hearing care center, creating a live Auracast™ demonstration and training environment.
CASTER broadcasts audio directly to compatible hearing aids, cochlear implants and other Auracast™ devices. Customers whose smartphones do not yet support Auracast™ can listen through external receivers.
TRABERT® chose Auracast™ because it is a standard that works across manufacturers, so many kinds of devices can join the same broadcast. The system runs alongside the center's other streaming technologies, keeping every customer covered while the team builds experience with Auracast™.
The results

Customers now experience streaming for themselves, instead of having it explained to them.
- Clearer consultations. Live demonstrations make technical concepts easy to grasp, and modern hearing capabilities become tangible during the consultation.
- No pairing. Customers hear audio delivered straight to their hearing systems, and have responded well to how simple it is.
- Many listeners at once. One broadcast reaches several people together, which points the way to theaters, waiting areas and other shared spaces.
- New business. Public institutions and venue operators looking for modern accessibility now come to TRABERT®, which also plans, designs and installs Auracast™ systems for theaters, conference rooms, churches and public facilities.
- An innovation leader. The installation strengthens TRABERT®'s position as an innovation-driven hearing care provider and draws technology-minded customers.
What's next
TRABERT® plans further Auracast™ installations, including a flagship store in Fulda, and sees Auracast™ as a foundation for accessible audio in public and private spaces.
